Jordan Hinckley took his first sword class in January of 1999 and has been studying heavily the 15th century Italian Master Fiore di Liberi for the past 10 years.  He teaches our Saturday classes as well as teaching as many beginners classes as he can as he feels it is a great foundation to the larger work that is studied in class.

With a degree in Archaeology, and a passion for the sword arts,  he has coached Olympic sabre, as well as been teaching with the UCSA since 2015, and in 2019 was certified as a HEMA Alliance Instructor in the Italian Long Sword Tradition.

He also has taught classes at Combat Con, SoCal swordfight, as well as the League of Utah Writers, and is always willing to teach private lessons or adjust a class for the needs of a particular student group.

Jordan also writes a blog on his life as a HEMA coach here: https://theswordsmanslife.blogspot.com/ and can also be seen playing Henry VIII in several of the local Renaissance Festivals.

Jack Stewart has been studying the Historical European Martial Arts since the age of 12 and has been teaching in his own right since 2016. Jack teaches our Thursday class and is always willing to assist in our Saturday class as well. Though his primary focus has been the Italian tradition, in the last few years he has also been studying the German Liechtenauer tradition as well. He has won several local and international medals in Long Sword as well as cutting competitions around the western US.

We have classes on Saturdays from 12:30-2:30 and Thursday nights from 7-9 pm at Spearhead fitness 4540 S Highland Drive, SLC, UT 84116

Our Beginners Class begins the first week of every month, and all that is required is signing a waiver, the class cost of $30 and a willingness to come learn.
